National Tequila Day is July 24 and we’ve rounded up some of the best tequila recipes for you to sip on this fun day and all summer long! Whether you like shots or mixing up some fun, fruity drinks, there’s something for everyone on National Tequila Day. Check out our list of delicious recipes below from some of your favorite tequila brands. 

Juan Lobo Tequila

Juan Lobo Perfect Margarita

Ingredients:

  • Lowball glass
  • 2 oz Juan Lobo Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (or half of one lime)
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup
  • Kosher salt

Instructions:

Use a lime wedge to coat the rim of the glass and dip the rim in a dash of salt to coat. Add plenty of ice to a cocktail shaker. Squeeze the lime juice into the cocktail shaker. Add Juan Lobo Tequila Blanco, Grand Marnier, and a touch of agave syrup if you like a bit of sweetness to your margarita. Shake it up, pour and garnish with a lime wedge.

Daytona

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Juan Lobo Tequila Anejo
  • 6 blackberries
  • 0.5 oz lime juice
  • 3 oz Coca Cola
  • Edible gold flakes (for garnish)

Instructions:

In a tall collins glass, fill ice to the top. Add blackberries and lime juice to the bottom of the glass and muddle. Add your Juan Lobo Tequila Anejo and top with Mexican Coca Cola. Sprinkle some edible gold flakes to the top for a little extra sparkle.

Casamigos Tequila

Bloody Maria

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Casamigos Reposado Tequila
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 4 oz bloody mary mix
  • 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 bar spoons of horseradish
  • 2 dashes firewater bitters
  • Garnish with grilled shrimp, lemon wheel, thyme sprig, and cracked black pepper

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker. Dry shake (no ice), then pour into a hurricane or pint glass. Add fresh ice and garnish.

Sparkling Raspberry Rosé 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • 4 raspberries
  • 2 dashes Peychauds bitters
  • Top off with sparkling Brut Rosé 
  • Garnish with 203 edible flowers

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients, except Brut Rosé into tin shaker. Muddle raspberries. Add ice, shake vigorously, and fine strain into a couple of glasses. Top off with sparkling Brut Rosé and garnish.

Patrón Tequila

Jalisco Mule 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Patrón Silver
  • 3 oz ginger beer
  • 0.5 oz lime juice
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Candied ginger for garnish

Instructions:

Combine patrol Silver and lime juice in a chilled mule mug filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge and candied ginger.

Patrón Añejo Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Patrón Añejo
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup
  • 1 dash bitters
  • Orange zest

Instructions:

Over a double old cushioned glass, use a vegetable peeler to take off two strips of orange zest, making sure to express the oil into the glass. Add Patrón Añejo, simple syrup, and bitters. Add ice – the biggest cubes you can find – and stir. Adjust sweetness to taste. 

Don Julio Tequila

Mojito Blanco 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 6 leaves of fresh mint, muddled
  • 1 oz club soda
  • 1 sprig mint

Instructions:

Muddle fresh mint in a cocktail shaker. Put tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup into the cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Add club soda, shake once, and pour into a glass. 

Garnish with a mint spring.

Don Julio Sunrise

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
  • 4 oz orange juice
  • 0.25 oz grenadine/cherry juice/sweet cranberry juice
  • Orange twist or cherry
  • Sea salt

Instructions:

Mix Don Julio Blanco Tequila with orange juice. Rim highball glass with sea salt. Add big ice cubes to the glass. Add grenadine or substitutes to the glass. Slowly pour the tequila and orange juice mixture into the glass. Garnish with a cherry if wanted or an orange twist. 

Teremana Tequila

Jabroni

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Teremana Blanco or Repo
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 0.75 oz sweet vermouth
  • 0.25 oz banana liqueur

Instructions:

Stir and strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with dried banana chips.

Banana Manarita

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Teremana Blanco
  • 0.75 lime juice
  • 0.5 oz vanilla syrup
  • Half a banana

Instructions:

Blend and serve in a goblet. Garnish with edible flowers.
