Celebrities continue to amaze us with their talent. Think about Bradley Cooper in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born. After six months of piano and guitar lessons paired with a year and a half of vocal lessons, he grew into this role. One thing for sure—he blew all of us away with his outstanding musical performance.
It makes you wonder how many other celebrities there are with hidden talents, doesn’t it? Let’s see how many of these celebrities you knew could play a musical instrument.
1. Justin Bieber
Did you know that JB has played the drums since he was 2-years old? The drums were the first instrument he ever touched, and he has even played them in concert from time to time. He’s so confident in his skills that he challenged The Roots drummer Questlove to a drum-off in 2010. Justin lost (in case you were wondering).
Then, in 2015, Justin and Questlove had a rematch on The Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show. While JB is no match when it comes to The Roots drummer, there’s no denying he has some impressive skills. It makes us want to browse through the best drum brandsand start playing ourselves!
2. Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood is an actor, film director, composer, and producer. He has starred in several award-winning movies, but the accomplishments don’t end there. He’s also an accomplished pianist!
Before the movies and the fame, he planned on pursuing a career in music. Eastwood considers himself a jazz aficionado and has included classic jazz recordings in his films, like in the thriller film Play Misty for Me. He also directed Million Dollar Baby, Hereafter, Changeling, and Mystic River.
3. Ryan Gosling
Perhaps the most impressive of all, Ryan Gosling plays the piano, guitar, cello, and bass guitar. He’s part of the indie rock band Dead Man’s Bones alongside his friend Zach Shields.
This band has been around since 2007, releasing their debut album in 2009. Dead Man’s Bones has even gone as far as playing at the FYF Fest in Los Angeles, California, in 2010.
While there hasn’t been any recent news regarding Ryan Gosling’s band, we’re all hoping for another album or, at the very least, an upcoming performance.
4. Antonio Banderas
Aside from being a charmingly talented actor, Antonio Banderas is quite skilled at playing the guitar. Think about his films Desperado (1995) or Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003). These movies have several scenes where he holds and plays the guitar.
Antonio Banderas is the one playing this instrument in most of his movie scenes where a guitar is involved. While he never played music professionally, he knows how to play the guitar, piano, and drums. Not only does he know how, but he plays them well!

These are just four well-known celebrities who have a knack for musical instruments. Put them all together, and we’ve got ourselves a band many of us would pay good money to see!
