As the lockdown laws in Ontario get stricter, we’ve been looking for more ways to keep us entertained, healthy and stimulated. We’ve compiled a list of 6 services/websites that we’ve been utilizing to help make our time at home a little easier. From doing workouts in our living room, to learning new skills and having chef-cooked meals delivered to our doors. May the rest of your time in lockdown go as smoothly as possible.

Yumba Food Delivery

One of the things we miss since going into lockdown is eating out at restaurants. While some restaurants are still offering delivery, the cost of this can add up quickly. So we recently started ordering from Yumba Food Delivery, which drops of fresh, chef-made meals right to our door. With only a four day in advance ordering window this has been the perfect option for relatively last minute orders too. Yumba allows individual’s to select what they want from their constantly-updated menu and the quantities that they want. The Canadian delivery service is super easy to use and it’s currently servicing the GTA (Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Pickering, & Ajax). Order from their site here and read more about their service here. LIMITED Time only: enter to win one-week worth of meals here.

Free Live Stream Workouts

While Instagram is flooded with live stream workouts these days, we couldn’t be more happy about it. Some of our favourite free live stream workouts include the Barry’s Bootcamp one’s which stream on the trainers respective platforms (we’ve been doing Chris and Karina’s religiously). Also check out The Sculpt Society, Matthew Vautour and DogPound for a hard and dynamic workout. See a full list of some of our favourites here.

Tawse Winery Delivery

Tawse Winery is still offering delivery on their website and will ship cases of wine directly to your home. They also currently have a mix and match special where you can select any 6, 12 or 24 bottles that you like for a bulk price. Orders over $100 also receive free delivery. Check out their site here.

SkillShare

A website dedicated to teaching new skills with hundreds of lessons on illustration, photography, web analytics, marketing, design, and more. They’re currently offering 2 months of free classes so you can try it out first. Learn more on their website.

Virtual Doctor Visits

The idea of visiting a doctor in person right now, may make you uneasy given everything that’s happening. Fortunately, there are websites set up that allow you to speak with a doctor online first before deciding if a visit to a doctor is imperative. One of the website’s that we’ve tried and liked is Maple, which also allows you to get your prescriptions online too. So skip the waiting rooms and make observing the lockdown just a little bit easier by utilizing Maple or another similar service.
