Although the “Levitating” singer recently split with her boyfriend of two years, Anwar Hadid, in December, she has not skipped a beat.
A source told People, “Dua and Anwar are currently taking a break from their relationship and are spending time apart.”
It seems the singer is coping with the break in the soothing arms of luxury fabric and impeccable design.
The Grammy award-winning singer is one of the world’s most popular pop stars and has quickly become a fashion icon. Her first looks in 2022 further solidify her coronation into It Girl status as she sports this year’s predicted trends, bold colours, cutouts and a twist on the classic babydoll dress.

On January 2, Dua showed off her long legs in a bright pair of green baggy cargo pants. She completed the look with a bright orange bag, a black tight one-shoulder top and black platform Puma sneakers.
Bright colours are in the forecast for 2022 especially, chartreuse! Green is quickly becoming Gen Z’s pink but if green isn’t your colour, bright orange, as seen on Dua’s bag and royal blue are also predicted to be popular this year.
Add a little height to your outfit without having to brace your stilettos by incorporating the platform trend. This year the higher the platform the closer you are to vogue.

One thing is for sure skin is in! The Spring Summer 2022 runway’s showcased lots of sheer dresses and major cutouts.
Cutouts have been coming in and out of the mainstream since 2010 changing and evolving each season. Cutouts have been a motif for the last few seasons but were even more prominent at the Spring Summer 2022 shows.
So, it seems that cutout will live to see another year.

Dua incorporated multiple trends in this look from the babydoll silhouette to the bright blue colour and finally to the fringe! Fringe is also having a resurgence. The often more casual design is being elevated by heavier and fuller tassel detailing.
