Apple’s steadfast streaming platform Apple TV+ has released the trailer for their highly anticipated 8-episode series “Suspicion”. The edge-of-your-seat thriller drama has been in the works since 2019 and features academy award-winning actress Uma Thurman filling the shoes of the lead role.

The plot of “Suspicion” kicks off when the son of a distinguished American businesswoman (Thurman) is kidnapped from her room in a New York hotel. As the panic of the severe situation begins to set in, accusation lands on a group of ordinary British citizens who coincidently happen to be staying at the same hotel. The British cohort flees America as they begin to traverse the globe in an effort to avoid prosecution from authorities such as the National Crime Agency and the FBI in a fight for their innocence. At the drop of a hat, the group is forced to reevaluate who they can trust as they attempt to decipher who is truly responsible for the heinous act.

“Suspicion” is adapted from the award-winning Israeli series “False Flag”, which was loosely based on the assassination of Mahmour al-Mabhouh in Dubai, who was a co-founder of a military wing of the Islamist Palestinian group Hamas. “False Flag” ran for 2 seasons beginning in 2015 and was the first foreign series to be picked up by Fox International where it streamed on Hulu. The first 2 episodes of “Suspicion” premiere on February 4th, with the remaining 6 episodes releasing on Fridays each week.
