Junn.J, a brand that debuted in 2007, creates new items by re-interpreting and re-creating classics, taking the concept of “Diversion of Classic” even further.  Juun.J has taken the fashion world by storm becoming the first Korean designer to be a guest designer at the largest men’s clothing exhibition in the world, Pitti Uomo. By 2019, Juun.J introduced their women’s collection and is now making a presence in over 30 major cities globally.

Canada Goose is partnering with Juun.J for a capsule collection and has created new takes on 3 iconic parkas as well as a knitwear piece.  These products are designed to preform in the cold, while the style is unmistakably Juun.J; minimal yet structured, working with the classic design of Canada Goose.

The pinnacle piece is the resolute 3-in-1, which is inspired by the iconic resolute parka.  This version has a down-filled shell and vest that can be worn together or as versatile separates, this piece offers a stowable hood, interior drawcords to customize fit and reflective details throughout.  This is the first capsule collection Canada Goose has done is its over 10 years of collaborations that includes a piece of knitwear.

This first knitwear collaboration debuts itself with the Ashcroft Hoody ($795), which is made with merino wool for design and comfort and nylon fabric for durability.  This piece uses Thermal Mapping technology which creates an open knit construction in areas that overheat such as the upper back, under the sleeves and on the side of the body.  Canada Goose x Juun.J’s Expedition Parka ($1,795), Snow Mantra Parka ($2,195) and Resolute 3-in-1 Parka ($1,995) and the collection’s Ashcroft Hoody ($795).  The colourways are Canada Goose heritage colourways: Snow Mantra and Resolute in black, the Expedition in black and red; and the Ashcroft in black and military green.  All pieces are traditional yet innovative as they are oversized and unisex with proportions that are exaggerated and silhouettes that are graphic.  This collaboration takes practicality and reimagines it pushing it forward within the fashion world.

This collection launches on October 18th and can be shopped at CanadaGoose.com, Luisa Via Roma, The Corner Berlin, Selfridges, Browns, L’Éclaireur, Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées, Vitkac, CNTRBND, SSENSE, Saks Fifth Avenue, IT, Joyce and select Canada Goose stores.
