Rewind to 2011: Kim K Debuts Black Lace Gown

More than a decade ago, the reality tv star attended the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana black lace gown. Kim paired the stunning dress with pink and silver diamond earrings along with matching coloured diamond bracelets and rings.
Fast-forward to 2022: Kravis Wedding

On May 28, Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram stories to reveal to fans that she discovered the dress after going through her old Dolce & Gabbana clothing. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker opted to have a Dolce & Gabbana themed wedding for the entire Kardashian-Jenner and Barker clan. As a result, Kim K went on a mission to find the perfect D&G high-fashion ensemble. She wrote: “Fun fact about this look for the wedding! .. I have every piece photographed and on an app. So when I knew I was going to Italy (LOVE a theme for a trip) I pulled all my Dolce & Gabbana clothes to try on again and see if I could re-wear anything!”

Kim also disclosed that she upcycled the dress by adding a mini turtleneck sheer lace dress with built-in gloves. She wrote, “But to make the dress more modern and more me, I wore this lace gloves Vetements dress I had in my closet for a layered lace look.”
For the Kravis wedding, Kim accessorized the fashionable look to make it more gothic with an eye-catching cross choker. Talk about making a statement!
Kim Kardashian’s Style Re-discovery
On the new hit tv show, ‘The Kardashians’, Kim took viewers inside a warehouse that has stored over 30,000 garments of hers throughout the years. She expressed on the show that, “I’m on this really fun journey of just trying to figure out what my new fashion era’s gonna be. I love seeing all this stuff, so I just wanna see where I’ve been and where I wanna go.” The D&G dress that Kim wore is most likely to have been stored in that warehouse which Kim revitalized to make it more modern and chic.
