Billie Eilish has been known to set the bar very high with everything she does, and of course, her first-ever Met Gala was one for the books. Every first Monday of May the Met Gala hosts a theme presented for the year exhibit, where Billie teamed up with both Oscar De La Renta and Charlotte Tilbury to bring her Marilyn Monroe inspiration to life. 

Unfortunately, this year’s gala did not fall on the first Monday of May, but it did on the second Monday of September.

As many were shocked to even find out that the Met Gala was happening at all this year, the even bigger shock was the theme being carried over from the previous year, and keeping with its co-chairs, which included Timothee Chalamet, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman, for the theme “American Independence.”

Billie has been surprising a lot of people over the last few months as just after the Grammy Awards on March 15th, on March 17th Billie revealed a new hairdo, which broke the internet for her new theme of a bleach blonde shag cut. 

With her new hair, came a different look, which was shown on the cover of Vogue, then revealed her new album “Happier Than Ever” released on July 30th, and now leading into the tail end of the year Billie rocked the carpet with a mesmerizing on-theme look.

Billie showed up in a very elegant, nude Oscar De La Renta gown, a new haircut, and very elegant makeup. Billie and London-based brand and make-up artist Charlott Tilbury teamed up to complete Billie’s look.
