This long weekend, we will be trekking across the country to replant ourselves in a hometown gathering to celebrate Easter weekend with family.

Here’s what we are bringing to show off our best take on an Easter inspired fashion palette: Accessories, clothing, and experiences.

The More Shine the Better

The new Easter Bunny is shiny. Reflecting from the latest collections, we are drawn like a magpie to reflective pieces similar to the likes of Balmain. Any jumpsuit will do – pants + a top are an easy wear from day to night, just change makeup and shoes to dress the look up or down. Jumpsuits are the closest you’ll see us in anything that resembles a fuzzy pink and white bellied Easter Bunny suit.

A Delicate Shoe

We know you have shoes to rock in your closet already, but consider adding a heeled thong similar to, but not exactly like, what the clones of Yeezy Season 6 would wear.

Pastels, please.

Beauty should range from dewey to positively pastelled. We are taking our inspiration from Marc Jacob’s 2018 beauty campaign, in clementine orange eyelids with a plastic pink mouth mixed on a palette of nude skin. Protect from spring’s sun rays (finally!) with a hat. Like spring, our skin is being blessed with new life. Keep an eye out for other celebrity makeup drops for more at your fingertips.

Fine Fabrics

Silk scarves are a well rounded accessory to cover your neck on a brisk walk for window shopping on this long weekend. We are inspired by this one that doubles as a shirt by Dries Van Noten. Pair with black trousers for a sophisticated look, or keep it casual with loose fitted denim underneath, topped with a heavily printed coat.

Shades Only

All white is a very welcoming transition look to bring us from winter into spring. Anything that bodes ideas of purity is always appropriate in a spring long weekend getaway suitcase. We are still inspired by the slackened style in Call Me By Your Name – try any casual pant with a clean, loose button down.

Essentially anything you’re comfortable enough to bike away down a tree clad road fuzzed with new long grass will take you far this weekend. For some spectacular reason, every amazing vintage bedroom decor is a perfect instagram backdrop for a total pastelled Easter look. We only hope when you go home to revisit your childhood bedroom, mum and dad have left the decor just as it was.
