The movie “Death On The Nile” recently launched in movie theaters all over the world. With a range of amazing costumes, signed by Spanish Costume Designer Paco Delgado, the character Linnet Doyle was the one to catch the most attention. Played by Gal Gadot, she appears in a number of dreamy outfits. So here is a recap of every look Gal wore in this must-watch movie.

Death On The Nile” is a recently launched movie, adapted from the homonymous detective novel written by the legendary British author Agatha Christie. In this story, the famous Belgian character Hercule Poirot is enjoying his vacation on a luxurious cruise along the Nile when someone gets murdered on board. The prestigious fictional detective, who is considered a master in solving mysteries, then has to solve this horrible crime.

As much as we love movies, books, and Agatha Christie, what really made our jaws drop here were the stunning looks worn by actress Gal Gadot to perform the young and recently married Linnet Ridgeway Doyle. To create the iconic looks portrayed in this film, Spanish Costume Designer Paco Delgado was chosen. Along his celebrated career – which includes 2 Oscars nominations -, he was the man behind the costumes in movies such as “Les Misérables” and “The Danish Girl”.

For Linnet’s costumes, Paco played with the concept of a wealthy woman touched by vulnerability. She is the type of woman who has everything but feels constantly threatened and criticized by everyone around her. Moreover, in Paco’s words, he “wanted to show fragility through her costumes”, which he successfully did. So here is a little recap with all the looks worn by Gal Gadot in “Death On The Nile”.

In order to create Linne’s wardrobe, Paco incorporated soft, neutral colours as well as flowing silk pieces and lots of transparency. For instance, when the cruise makes a stop in Egypt and passengers get off to visit the temple of Abu Simbel, Linnet wears a hat and a flowy halter top silk dress, while other characters are dressed in more appropriate garments for a sightseeing visit. On the other hand, the movie’s opening scene shows Linnet dressed in a silver collared nightgown adorned with shoulder cuffs. The reason behind the choice of this costume is to catch Simon Doyle’s attention while he was dancing with Linnet’s nemesis.

Moreover, in the scenes when Linnet greets the other passengers on board the Karnak with a toast and when she decides to address her concerns to Poirot, Gal Gadot wears a beautiful white dress with a transparent top and flowing skirt. In another moment in the movie, Gal appears in a more romantic, tighter to the body, V neck, light rosé dress, added by a golden chain belt, while dancing with Mr. Doyle, balloon falling from the ceiling.

Gal Gadot’s most gorgeous outfit in the movie is her wedding dress, which she matches to the iconic Tiffany’s 128.54-carat yellow diamond necklace – a piece of jewelry that has only been worn in real life by 3 other women. According to Paco, “it was a natural, skin tone color. It was bias cut, with a really nice embroidering and painting on the skirt. It took us weeks to produce. That was the most exciting piece”. Linnet’s least interesting look though is a rosé short-sleeved button-up shirt that she wears with a white skirt for a scene where she is holding arms with Simon.
