Forever 21, one of the most popular youth fashion brands in the past decades until a few years ago, has declared bankruptcy and liquidated all clothing items, accessories at low prices, and closed entire chain stores in Canada. But just recently, Forever 21 had made a rapid comeback to the community when it decided to cooperate with the world-famous Hudson’s Bay fashion brand to provide collections in this brand’s chain stores.

Forever 21 was founded in 1984 and quickly expanded throughout shopping centers, mainly serving young female customers with basic and affordable fashion products. The company is owned by the co-founder’s Do Won Chang and Jin Sook. Over 30 years of development, Forever 21 has built trust and quality with people. Since its rapid market expansion in the early 2000s, Forever 21 has become one of the dominant fast fashion brands in the US. Forever 21 has grown, developed widely in most countries around the globe. This fashion brand has affirmed its position in the fashion industry. It has become a prestigious fashion brand, very popular with users worldwide, able to compete with famous popular fashion brands others like H&M, Zara, Uniqlo…

In 2019, Forever 21 is the latest retailer to declare bankruptcy as online shopping has decimated the number of customers visiting malls and brick-and-mortar stores in the US. However, the California-based retailer insists filing for bankruptcy does not mean it will leave the US market. “This is an important and necessary step to secure Forever 21’s future, which will give us the opportunity to restructure our business and reposition the brand,” Linda Chang, Executive Vice President of Forever 21, said.

However, this summer, Forever 21 decided to return to the collaboration with famous brand Hudson’s Bay in Canada to re-mark its name in the fashion market. Forever 21 launches at Hudson’s Bay stores in Yorkdale Shopping Center in Toronto and Square One shopping center in Mississauga. And this is the beginning for this fashion brand to return to Canada. Starting in the coming weeks, Hudson’s Bay stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario will begin displaying and offering Forever 21 clothing and accessories to meet consumer expectations.
