Meet #GucciTowardsTheSun.
Summer is officially here and Gucci is unveiling a special selection of ready-to-wear and accessories from the House’s latest collections. These styles are perfect for the warm season ahead and are a must-have for any upcoming summer days in the sun.
About the latest collection
The latest campaign demonstrates a beautiful mix of light fabrics accentuated with bright pops of color, in which the Towards the Sun pieces are reminiscent of easy-going sunny days.
The collection sees a selection of bags, shoes, and accessories, adorned with iconic patterns and colourways. In fact, the fashion house’s emblematic GG monogram -woven from a raffia-effect material- can be found on items featured in the latest collection. Houndstooth and seersucker are also defining motifs found throughout, enriching the brand’s signature items from Gucci’s archive-inspired Beloved lines.
The women’s ready-to-wear selection contains feminine details and includes muslin slip dresses accented with lace, as well as a selection of bathing suits. The men’s lineup ranges from casual to sophisticated, in which one can find jogging shorts, patterned pants, nylon jackets, and double-breasted blazers among a selection of other ready-to-wear must-haves.
The campaign
The Towards the Sun selection is captured in a special campaign shot on the coast of Provincetown—the Summer escape of choice for many artists and creatives.
The brand collected a variety of stills photographs and video footage to capture a cast of characters partaking in a series of activities on the quaint northern tip of Cape Code.
These activities included swimming, sunbathing, and strolling around the lighthouse.
As an ode to the act of vacationing, the photographs also feature the Gucci Ophidia luggage,
which progresses the House’s century-long legacy in travel.
Towards the Sun is now available in Gucci stores across the globe and will be presented in dedicated window displays and Pop-Up. These will feature a creative concept that riffs on the houndstooth design found across the selection.
