Executed by the graduating class of Humber’s 2019 Arts and Business Program, and Program Coordinator Jennifer Dawson, the Walk It Out: Elements of Humber 2019 show brought forth a vast array of Canadian Talent.

This year’s theme Elements of Humber, focused on the four elements; fire, ice, water, and wind, which were further complimented by each designer’s pieces. Featured designers included: Brosche Bridal, Zane Barlas, Cherith B. Designs, Joseph Tassoni, Shelli Oh, Kyle Gervacy, TAMA & Co, JMtrends, Rohma Anzaar Couture, and ZOFF.

Collections were diverse, varying from funky cultural textiles to classic, timeless, silhouettes. Canadian Designers showcased eye-catching collections that painted the runway with a tasteful SS19 palette. Industry professionals who attended the highly anticipated event also provided great networking opportunities for students and attendees. Lastly, Fashion Illustrator Sabina Fenn, brought the runway to life with live illustrations which painted a picture of each designer’s personal inspirations and style. https://sabinafenn.net/

 

 

Within the mix, Humber Fashion Arts and Business Student’s Tenae Atkinson, and Rohma Anzaar, proved their skill sets with beautiful handcrafted collections.

Rohma AnzarHumber Graduate, Designer, and Self taught dressmaker. Rohma Anzaar of Rohma Anzaar Couture showcased a specialized collection of one-off dresses created uniquely for each individual. Rohma focuses her passion on creating couture gowns that speak to her clients and creates one-of-a-kind gowns you won’t find anywhere else. “Wear the dress, don’t let the dress wear you.”

Tenae Atkinson Humber Graduate, Designer, and self-taught Crocheter. Tenae’s Jamaican roots spoke through her crochet focused line Tama & Co. Tenae’s brand represents very colourful designs that brightened up the runway with ease.
