This year iconic British heritage brand Hunter is celebrating Pride month by supporting global charity partner OutRight Action International, an organization that draws attention to the immense challenges facing LGBTIQ+ communities around the world.
As proud champions of the LGBTIQ+ community, Hunter is celebrating inclusivity, diversity and joy by donating CAD$5 for every single product sold on the Hunter website from 25-27th June. All donations will support OutRight Action International’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ+ Emergency Fund as part of their annual #PrideWithAPurpose campaign.
The brand has offered protection from the weather, support, and escape in nature during difficult times through the global pandemic. Although there is no Pride-specific collection this year, the brand has an assortment of footwear, accessories and apparel available in a rainbow of colours to show support.
Hunter’s iconic footwear, accessories and apparel represent the creative expression and happiness found in the world outside together.
The campaign highlights the purpose of Pride events in celebrating progress achieved towards equality. And draws attention to the immense challenges still facing LGBTIQ+ people around the world, which have been significantly amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To honour the partnership, Hunter has collaborated with digital artist and motion designer Rose Pilkington. She has reimagined the Hunter PLAY boot into a 3D textured world, representing the eleven colours of the Progress Pride Flag and the many steps that have been marched all over the world for equality. Rose Pilkington said, “I’m a proud lesbian and whenever I can incorporate my sexuality into my work, especially in the form of a rainbow, I do so with pride.”
