The iconic Canadian brand Roots is officially launching a new collection that is gender-free, more sustainable and is inclusive for over 50 different body types.
The Roots ONE collection pays homage to the brand and where it comes from, taking its heritage and reinventing it for everyone. The ONE collection is a collection that has no boundaries, no matter who you are, what your gender is or how you like to feel or wear your clothes, this collection is the perfect fit for anyone and everyone.
Roots ONE
Michael Budman and Don Green met at Lake Tamakwa in Algonquin for summer camp, from there they not only became best friends but fell in love with Canada’s beautiful landscapes. From there they took the love they had for summer camp, and the place they came from and created the brand ‘Roots’ that would symbolize and unite the best of both worlds. Since 1973 Roots has become a brand with its own unique unmistakable style and built with uncompromising comfort. From Beaver Canoe to the Original collection Roots has created comfort for everyone, and now has truly taken a step in a new direction that is making them a more inclusive brand that benefits everyone, including the planet.
Each piece of the collection is made with 80% Organic Cotton and 20% recycled polyester, with sizes ranging from XXS – 4XL made to fit 50 different bodies, thus creating as perfect of a fit for everyone as possible, “We believe one size shouldn’t fit all because that sounds boring—instead, we embrace the beauty of all shapes, colours, and sizes.”
Crewneck
Mixed with both organic cotton and recycled fibres the ONE crewneck has a relaxed fit. The British Khaki colour seen here can be mixed and matched with the other colours. The collection comes in 4 colours altogether.
Hoodie
The Kanga hoodie is mixed with organic cotton and recycled fibres as well, the upside to this hoodie is the styling is much different. With no drawstrings, and a hidden front pocket the hoodie can give you comfort but can also be dressed up for a cool night out.
Sweatpants
The classic drawstring sweatpant can do no wrong, with organic and recycled material for sustainability, and versatility to match with both the crewneck and the hoodie, the classic sweatpant is comfortable for any outing, in the city or at the cabin.
