You better learn how to pronounce her name, because Lindsay Lohan will be making a dramatic return to the movie scene by signing a creative partnership deal with Netflix.

Christina Rogers, Netflix’s Director of Independent Film told Deadline: “We’re so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with her. We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world.”

The 35-year-old, who made a name for herself starring as a child playing twins in the ‘The Parent Trap,’ before playing the iconic role of ‘Cady Heron’ in cult comedy ‘Mean Girls’ in 2004, will now be appearing on the big screen in two new films aside from the upcoming holiday movie ‘Falling For Christmas’ on the streaming network.

The actress herself also addressed the news on Instagram. She posted an image of the ‘Deadline’ article, Lohan simply wrote, “Exciting things to come!”

In ‘Falling For Christmas,’ which is heading to Netflix in 2022, Lohan plays a newly engaged, spoiled heiress who gets into a skiing accident and suffers from total amnesia. She finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. Overstreet may sound familiar for those who have watched ‘Glee.’

The deal with Netflix may come as a surprise to some, but it isn’t as shocking considering she previously worked with the streaming service on the 2018 dark comedy series ‘Sick Note,’ where she plays the role of a daughter called ‘Katerina West.’

There is no apparent word on the two new movies at present, Lohan’s collaboration with Netflix is a sign that she is serious about stamping her authority on acting once again. Over the years, she has had an inconsistent relationship with appearing on TV and film. Her most recent appearance came in the reality series ‘Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club,’ where Lohan expands her business empire and manages her beach club in Mykonos.

It is safe to say Lohan is also in a very good place in her personal life, announcing her engagement with her boyfriend Bade Shammas. “My love. My life. My family. My future,” she wrote on Instagram. The two have been together since 2020, having met in a concert in Dubai.
