The brand’s beginnings
Meet the four Montreal-based entrepreneurs who are long-time friends: Philip Santagata, Anthony Ciavirella, Robert Marzin, and Roberto “Berto” Rebelo. The men were inspired to come together to solve an issue that they had all experienced with their underwear: constant re-adjusting, chafing, plus, how they rode up and wouldn’t maintain their shape.

The founders hated the noise they had to deal with when it came to shopping in stores or online. It was painful. As a result, they wanted to eliminate that by providing men with the essentials they need, without the BS they don’t.
In order to turn an idea into reality, the four men quit their corporate jobs and set off on a 10-month-long journey to reinvent men’s boxer briefs from scratch.
The way the brand values function over fashion is evident in how they make products that fit and feel amazing by keeping it simple. As a result, the brand uses the best fabrics and avoids bells and whistles.

About MANMADE
MANMADE uses a plant-derived, luxurious fabric from the Beechtree called, modal. This is because it’s an eco-friendly alternative to cotton. As a result, the production uses about 10-20 times less water. Moreover, the modal is more durable and feels softer than cotton. It also maintains moisture-absorbing properties to maintain ideal hygiene (unlike polyester).
