Mark and Donnie Wahlberg are mourning the death of their mother, Alma Wahlberg, who appeared on their family reality show “Wahlburgers”.

The brothers paid tribute to their late mother following her passing at age 78. Mark posted a photo with a caption calling her “My angel”. Donnie remembered her with a video montage and a statement reflecting on her life as a devoted parent.

Alma Wahlberg, the matriarch of the  family, had nine children: Michelle, Paul, Arthur, Jim, Tracey, Robert, Donnie, Mark and Debbie. Their father, her ex-husband, Donald Wahlberg, died in 2008.

The brothers did not reveal a cause of death in their posts.  However, Donnie had previously opened up about his mother’s battle with dementia, according to People.

Fans of the stars are certainly familiar with Alma, who made frequent appearances on their show The Wahlbergers.

Mark and Donnie Wahlberg are the most famous faces in their large family, but Alma Wahlberg became a celebrity in her own right through their reality show, “Wahlburgers,” which aired for five years, from 2014 to 2019 and portrayed the family’s work life at their Boston burger joint of the same name.
