As someone who enjoys a smoothie every morning for breakfast, and has tried many different blenders over the years, I was looking forward to acquiring a Vitamix blender to test out. Vitamix, which was founded in 1921, is a highly revered brand that has gained the trust of consumers and the hospitality industry over the years due to its top-of-the-line blenders.

The Ascent Series is Vitamix’s newest line of blenders that provide high-performance without compromising on the aesthetic of your kitchen. When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised with the A3500’s new sleek design. The blender fits perfectly on my countertop or can be easily tucked away in a cupboard (if that’s your preference), although I don’t see why you would want to hide such a beautifully designed appliance!

Now that we know The A3500 is a seamless addition to any kitchen’s design, let’s talk functionality. The A3500 comes with 5 program settings for smoothies, hot soups, dips & spreads, frozen desserts, and self-cleaning (which I will touch on later), as well as a quick start guide which made setting it up quick and easy. The blender also offers a system of built-in timers and self-detect technology, using wireless connectivity to sense the size of the container you are using to adjust its program settings and timer accordingly. To me, this was by far the best feature of the smart blender. It made my morning routine seamless, as I could get ready and prepare for my day ahead without having to babysit the device.

Bonus!
It also comes with a measuring cup built into the lid

A typical smoothie recipe for me will include leafy greens and frozen fruits. In the past, while using other blenders I’ve often been left unimpressed when I pour my smoothie into a to-go container and I’m left with chunks of mango, or pieces of spinach floating around. With the high-speed and high power of the A3500, I no longer waste time in the morning pouring my smoothie back into the blender for a second or third try or tossing my smoothie altogether when the blender just can’t get it right. Without fail, the Vitamix A3500 gets it right on the first try, allowing me to get out the door quickly with a perfectly blended, deliciously creamy smoothie to enjoy on the go.

Another one of my favourite features that makes this blender perfect for people with busy schedules, or large families that tend to have an extensive clean-up after making a meal is the self-cleaning feature. You simply add some warm water and a touch of dish soap to the pitcher, secure the lid, and push the self-clean program setting. My first time using the A3500, I was sure that this feature would provide the convenience of loosening the remnants of my smoothie from my blender, but that I’d still have to give it a thorough clean. To my pleasant surprise, after using the feature, I simply had to rinse the pitcher and it was squeaky clean, all set to dry for my next use.

The Ascent A3500 is priced at $599.95 USD. Although some might be deterred by the high price point of the A3500, it comes with a 10-year warranty – longer than any other Vitamix product or blender I’ve purchased from other brands in the past. This leaves you with the peace of mind that if anything were to malfunction throughout that time, you’d be able to swap it in for a brand-new device.

During my time testing out Vitamix’s Ascent A3500, I fell in love with the high-performance, feature-rich, and beautifully designed blender. It was easy to use, and when it came to results, the A3500 far surpassed other blenders I’ve used throughout the years.

With the holidays fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to spoil your loved ones or even yourself with a high-quality blender that will last. So don’t miss out and head over to Vitamix’s website to get your hands on the #1 blender.
