Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim have broken up — five months after going public with their HR violation.
Jason Oppenheim confirmed the break-up in a statement made to his Instagram stories on Tuesday. “While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another. She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life. While we have different wants regarding family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another. Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”
Chrishell Stause made a statement on her Instagram later the same evening, echoing similar sentiments to Oppenheim. On their differing family views, Chrishell said, “Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward. Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes.”
The break-up was speculated earlier when multiple sources told People that the couple recently ended their romantic relationship. Representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Vulture. The Selling Sunset co-stars announced that they were in a relationship while on a trip to Italy. Later, Strause said they kept it private for a couple of months beforehand. The relationship was teased in season 4 of Selling Sunset but is expected to be part of the drama of season 5.
