Sephora Canada announces a new 2022 Charity Rewards Program donation matching commitment, plus a February partner in honour of Black History Month.

Sephora Canada is pleased to announce a new donation matching commitment for its ongoing Beauty Insider Charity Rewards Program. The retailer will match client donations throughout the year, up to $25,000 per month. This news comes in tandem with the announcement of Sephora’s February program partner, Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA), in honour of Black History Month.

An extension of Sephora Canada’s Beauty Insider Loyalty Program, the retailer’s Charity Rewards Program invites clients to redeem their Beauty Insider points in exchange for a donation of $10 (500 points), $20 (1,000 points), or $30 (1,500 points) to a featured charity of the month. Since the program launched in August 2020, Sephora Canada is proud to have raised over $335K through the program and will be taking the initiative one step further with this year-long donation matching pledge.

“We are committed to driving meaningful change and to championing a more diverse, inclusive and empowered beauty community,” says Debbie McDowell, Director, Communications and Social Impact at Sephora Canada. “Our Charity Rewards Program plays a central role in our giving strategy and through it, we are humbled to support charities like Black Business and Professional Association that are working tirelessly towards fostering a more inclusive world. With our Canadian donation matching commitment this year, we hope to encourage client participation in our Charity Rewards program and to deliver meaningful impact to these charities, the vital work they do and the communities they support.”

BBPA, Sephora Canada’s February Charity Rewards Partner and the newest recipient of the retailer’s 2022 donation matching commitment after ACCES Employment in January 2022, is a non-profit, charitable organization that addresses equity and opportunity for the Black community in business, employment, education, and economic development. Their mission is to advance Canada’s Black communities by delivering programs that support business and professional excellence, higher education and economic development.

Throughout the month of February, clients can also follow @sephoracanada for dedicated social content in honour of Black History Month and are invited to discover a round-up of Black-owned brands across makeup, haircare, skincare, and fragrance categories at Sephora.ca.
