We collect and consume fashion trends in various ways, unlike most product services that phase out old buyer’s tactics, overtime the style market has developed its selling platforms.

One of the most recognizable – dare we say world wide – fashion advertisements is translated through celebrities, and with their esteemed fame (as well as popularity), it is easy to understand why well-dressed superstars have a firm influence in the industry.

Although fashion trends are not particularly an innate part of our history as humans, celebrity have certainly made impactful statements over the course of fashion.

From Queen Elizabeth’s (the first) opulent wardrobe, Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s favourable ensembles to Dolce and Gabbana casting a bunch of celebrity offspring in their fall 2018 menswear show, the bond between celeb stardom and fashion has certainly evolved.

Since we all share an adoration with keeping up with the latest trends through megastars, here are the stores where you can shop these three summer fads that have been sweeping our timelines.

Dior Saddle Bag

Thank you @dior for my new saddle bag ? #diorsaddle

The 1990s came back into the fashion scene and has made its rounds for the past couple of seasons (millennials just cannot get enough of this era) but the early 2000s may be giving micro-sunglasses and florescent bomber jackets a run for their money.

The distinctly-shaped Christian Dior saddle purse was once a staple piece in Paris Hilton’s and TV’s most lavish journalist Carrie Bradshaw’s closet has now resurfaced in 1960s inspired patterns – and of course the OG monochromatic Dior logo.

If you could not get your hands on this purse in the early 2000s and you now dream of posting your very own mini purse for likes, here is where you can shop for a saddle purse dupe.

Biker Shorts

Athleisure clothing somehow manages to keep its relevancy in the fashion industry and this time around we are celebrating biker shorts.

Lycra shorts have dominated celebrity styles from Kim Kardashian West and her family to Bella Hadid, the concept has trickled through the mainstream market and it is finding its way into your closet.

The popularity of these shorts gained some serious clout and has since appeared on major runways from Tommy Hilfiger’s FW/19 show to Camilla and Marc’s restort/19 (started from the upper-class and now we here).

As much as we would all love to have splurge on designer shorts (do not stop believing in your dreams) right now we can still join in on the fun and invest in these stores below.

Urban Outfitters, Out From All day Bike Short, $20 Topshop, Shiny Cylcing Shorts, £12.00 Pretty Little Thing, Taupe Cycling Shorts, $22

Chunky sneakers

There are moments when the industry shocks us all with trends that we did not think we would accept but alas, the eminent “dad” sneaker has made its proclamation this year.

The chunky silhouette is unlike the sneakers that have gotten a fashion thumbs up from critics, some go as far as calling it the “ugly” sneakers because of its difference in style (they contradict the slim and elegant forms we are used to).

The double, and sometimes triple, sole shoe has been a hit through haute couture labels such as Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Adidas x Yeezy with megastars like Hailey Baldwin, Chance the Rapper, Kanye West and Kendall Jenner (to name a few) showing off the uniqueness of these comfort shoes.

Shop the dad sneaker now:
