When it comes to sustainability, Burt’s Bees is a long-standing partner of Terracycle’s. Terracycle’s offers consumers a free recycling program to dispose of personal care, lip care, and beauty care packaging.

Biossance is a vegan line, developed to be effective and safe without harming the environment or animals. As a result, Biossance’s sugarcane-derived squalane is saving two million sharks, each year. This is because individuals hunt sharks for squalene oil. All of the brand’s ingredients are also ethically and sustainably sourced. Formulations also include hemisqualane, which comes from sustainably sourced sugarcane that is bio-fermented. It is also in the brand’s Shine Drops and Air Dry Cream. In fact, it’s in every JVN product formulation. When it comes to the products’ packaging, JVN bottles (such as Embody, Nurture, and Undamage) feature recyclable aluminum and glass. The caps are also made of Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic.
