The Kardashian family has revealed the reasons for their show’s ending, what to expect in the upcoming final season, and what the titans of reality TV plan for their future.

On September 8th of the past year, the family announced –first through Kim’s Instagram post– that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is coming to an end after its twentieth season this year.

Throughout the years, The Kardashian-Jenner family has shared several heartfelt and emotional moments, celebrations, fights, triumphs, breakdowns, business projects, vacations, weddings, and even the births of their children with millions of fans across the globe. The final season of their series is set to premiere on E! on March 18th.

This doesn’t mean, however, that the Kardashian-Jenner women are done working with television. Last December, Disney (majority stakeholder of Hulu) announced the family made a multi-year contract with Hulu, the streaming service. “Kris, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie will create global content, which will stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and in multiple territories on Star internationally”, Hulu revealed in a press release. This could mean much success for Hulu, since KUWTK is E!’s most-watched series to date (Insider), although more information of their upcoming partnership and projects has yet to be disclosed.

The family revealed putting an end KUWTK was a decision they made unanimously together. They needed a break after broadcasting their lives for fourteen years, since the show’s debut in 2007. Most of the Kardashian sisters –Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kylie– are all mothers now and wanted time to focus on their children and personal lives. In this break, the sisters and their mother also expect to dedicate more time to their many business ventures, like Kim’s KKW Beauty brand and Kylie’s Cosmetics.

The final season will show a Kim who has officially separated from her husband Kanye and is closer than ever to achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer, advocating for criminal justice reform. In the trailer, Khloe confesses she wants to have a second child and the family teases Kourtney and Scott might get back together. In another teaser, Kendall even disclosed her desire to become a mother.
