Could we BE anymore excited about the official release of the Friends reunion special? After what seems like years in the making, Friends is finally coming back into our living rooms for one last time. On May 27th HBO Max is releasing the special that includes Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Monica, and many many more guests.

The famous tv show ended in 2004 after a 10 year/10 season run full of laughs, heartbreaks, weddings, children, a monkey, and a foosball table. What is expected is that Ross and Rachel are probably married (again), Monica and Chandler are still married, Phoebe should be married to Mike and Joey probably lives above Chandler and Monicas garage.

On May 14th the Friends Instagram released a teaser trailer of the cast walking hand-in-hand on the Warner Brothers lot, with the captions “The One Where We Get to See Our Favorites Back Together Again. The #FriendsReunion is coming on May 27 only on @hbomax.” Right after this post, they posted a long list of 18 guest stars that include Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and many more.

The only downside to this new release is the fact that it is not another episode of Friends. In fact, we won’t actually know what is going on in the lives of the 6 characters, as the actors are not portraying them. What is expected is a behind the scene look at the sets, blooper or unreleased footage from the original season and guest appearances.

This saddens a lot of fans as many were hoping to find out what happens to the characters after 17 years, did anyone have any more children, did Joey get married, is Marcel back? As it would be nice to know and catch up with the characters, it will also be really amazing seeing the cast all together again, especially because the cast is a true reflection of their characters. Matthew Perry is the truly funny one, Courtney Cox is a neat freak, and Jennifer Aniston will always be the fashionable, clumsy one.
