The Ace Hotel was our number one place to see while we visited Palm Springs a few weeks back.

We didn’t stay here but we made sure we had all the cocktails, tacos and yumminess at King’s Highway, their roadside diner (that was formerly Denny’s back in the days). Every Thursday, they host Taco Jueves offering $14 taco meals with margaritas – yes, they sold me with that.
This hotel is a perfect hidden treasure (and a stunning mid-century one), just a few minutes from all the cool things you need to do while in Palm Springs. This tiny place is packed with tons of fun activities: a dreamy yellow wall (oh hello Instagram shots!), a vintage photobooth (like in NYC), two pools (yes, TWO), a bohemian dreamy lobby and a bring-your-kids/dogs policy that I adored.

Okay okay, drumroll to the MOST exciting part of the trip: BEAUTIFUL DOORS!. My passion for design and all my home dreams came true by doing this door tour, I mean, a doortrait tour in real life. (just look for #doortraits on Instagram and you’ll see it). If you were wondering, you know I HAD to find “that pink door” – and, it was as pretty and I pictured it.
We visited a few streets around that pink door, and three doors down you’ll find the party lions house (where we shot the most epic and funniest boomerangs). The owners change the floaties every day or so, like are you for real THIS fun?We saw an entire color palette of doors ( I was screaming at one point) with the best weather and the best company. If you want to visit a ton more than us, read this epic post my friend Andrea did, you’ll love it.

Our home for a week during our Alt Summit adventures and honestly I couldn’t love this place MORE. A rainbow hotel where you’ll get your glam shots done, where you’ll enjoy a drink and breakfast by the pool, where you can rent vintage bikes, do yoga in the morning and have purple carpet in your rooms. Want to have a Michelada for breakfast? or indulge all day with their amazing Mexican menu? Palm Springs has NO judgment, so go wild!

The hotel rooms were gigantic and pretty basic, don’t expect 5-star hotel accommodations here, and personally, I’m not fancy with hotel selections so I was very happy as long as we had eggs, coffee, and bacon in the mornings.

Ps. All the palm trees are real? I still have doubts.

The charm of The Parker had us since we stepped in and saw the magnificent (and pretty damn magic) orange door. I mean, visiting a place that Jonathan Adler championed can be dreams, right?  This Midcentury Palm Springs icon hotel has all the chic details you’ll add in a list: an eclectic and colorful open-air Terrace restaurant (I’m still crying I couldn’t try brunch here at Norma’s), a stunning hotel lobby with a collection of colorful pottery and furniture and the most adorable lemonade stand by the pool, that sadly, we also couldn’t see.

Where to do epic photos here:
– Lobby door – Note that: if you are not a Parker guest, you won’t be allowed to shoot with a professional camera, only cellphones are allowed for visitors. Honestly, I still don’t get this policy.
– Lemonade stand
– Lobby colorful vases
– Blue doors at lobby bar
– Their trippy carpet at lobby
– Norma’s Terrace
