In the last couple of years, loungewear clothing and minimalist accessories have pushed everyone to go bold with their outfit – even jewelry. While delicate chains and multilayered strands have been among the most long-lasting jewelry styles, flamboyant bijoux are making a comeback in 2022.
Chunky accessories and retro jewelry accentuated the spring/summer 2022 runways and red carpets (including the Met Gala and Grammys), continuing the trends seen in the fall of 2021.

The Top Chef winner walked the red carpet wearing a bracelet that reached up to cover her ring and pinky fingers. It was shining gold with ruby and pearl-like appliqués. According to a media release from the fashion house, the “WAP” rapper’s Atelier Versace ensemble for Met Gala 2022 red carpet may have been the night’s heaviest, as it was created from a whole mile of golden metal chains. This look also pays homage to iconic 2010 fashion and the obsession with gold chains.
