This month, TORA, the innovative restaurant concept from Aburi Restaurants Canada, celebrates its one-year anniversary. In January 2019, the modern restaurant located in Yorkdale Shopping Centre brought a fresh approach to Japanese dining with the help of state-of-the-art technology. After a successful first year of business, it’s clear Toronto can’t get enough of the hotspot’s accessibly-priced menu featuring Aburi sushi, premium nigiri and much more.

With its modern sushi concierge system, where guests place their orders on a tablet and have their dishes delivered tableside via a laneway system, TORA has become one of the city’s top destinations for innovative sushi service.

The sleek, technology-driven restaurant has also added several new items to its fulsome menu. Guests can now explore new dishes, including sushi sets that feature a selection of guest favorites and new creations like the Kaisen Chirashi.

While having a strong first year in Toronto, Aburi Restaurants Canada took a unique concept global. In the summer of 2019, with the opening of TORA Futako Tamagawa. The Tokyo location further establishes Aburi Restaurants Canada’s commitment to raising its profile across the world. The opening abroad provides more people with the opportunity to experience TORA’s innovation and flavour. TORA is open daily for lunch and dinner, proudly serving Aburi Restaurants Canada’s signature flame-seared Aburi sushi.
