As time progresses, we are getting to see more and more powerful female leads in Hollywood. Succumbing to the super hero arms of a macho and need we say male superhero is a typical and redundant lead for a woman in a big budget film. Zoe Saldana is not one to ask to be saved. Her most recent starring in Star Trek, along with many other films on her roster, portray the not only female, but minority actress in powerful roles that promote independence and power for women.
