With the Canada Day long weekend almost upon us, it’s time to celebrate all things Canadian. From our diversity to our landscape, to the immense talent that pours from our borders there’s a never-ending list of things to be proud of!

While some people may be grabbing beers and throwing a BBQ or heading to cottage country to celebrate, we’ve got a plan for the rest of you. What better way to pay homage on Canada Day than to binge-watching Netflix shows and movies starring your favorite Canadian actors? Canadians in Starring Roles:

While I love the whole ritual and preparation of cooking for others, I get that it can be overwhelming for some people, BUT it doesn’t have to be if you follow my “make some, buy some” rule. For ex., this crudité spread is summer’s answer to my go-to winter cheese and charcuterie platters and couldn’t be easier to assemble. It’s anchored by three @wholefoods ready-made dips including, beet hummus, walnut pesto and guacamole (I also love their homestyle ranch and creamy spinach dips) and adorned with pre-cut organic cauliflower and romanesco florets, sugar snaps, yellow wax beans, a trio of baby tomatoes, endive, and organic colorful baby carrots.
