Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self, through the self creating peace, ease, and higher consciousness.
As we navigate through 2019, luckily we’ve been seeing a new wave of digital-focused wellness options enter our newsfeeds allowing us to access different forms of fitness tools literally at the tips of our fingers through computers screens, tablets and cell phones.
Vancouver-based yoga studio YYOGA has stepped boldly into this space with the launch of YYOGA at Home – a subscription-based at-home streaming platform where yogi’s can sign-up to enjoy full-body fitness, sweaty signature classes and mindful meditations streamed anywhere they are in the world.
Yogi’s can experience the platform by subscribing for $7.99/month or $79.99/year USD and have unlimited access to hours of beautiful, high-quality classes streamed anywhere. There is an extensive library of signature styles and various class lengths – everything from quick 5-minute tutorials to sweaty and powerful 60-minute classes. It also allows for the personalization of each practice with expert instruction offered for all levels, including pre and postnatal.
Speaking with the YYOGA president, Carey Dillen about the platform and the vision behind the launch, she told HOLR, “For the past 11 years, our mission has been to make yoga as accessible as possible for Canadians, with the highest quality teaching and offerings suitable for all levels. We’re excited to continue that journey with the launch of our on-demand, class streaming platform, YYOGA at Home, which will make it easier than ever before for our community to be connected to their practice, anywhere in the world.”
YYOGA was founded in 2007 by Vancouver entrepreneur, Terry McBride, who had experienced the benefits of yoga and fallen in love with the practice. As a busy dad and entrepreneur, Terry knew he wanted to ensure that time at YYOGA was time well spent. His vision grew from a desire to create community spaces for people to connect authentically to themselves and others. So with this in mind, Terry alongside President Carey Dillen have continued to build on their network, now sharing its quality teaching into homes across the country with the launch of YYOGA At Home.
