The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) had apparently warned of an unlit tower days before the crash had occurred. Stating that the transmission tower lights had failed which was reported in an FAA notice last week. Although surveillance video shows at least one light flashing on the tower at the time of impact.
Houston Fire Chief Thomas Muñoz confirmed that no residents were hurt in the aftermath. However, the fire had spread nearly three blocks before it was contained.
A report is expected to be released in 30 days containing all the facts about the incident along with the information acquired during the investigation.
