Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Renew Netflix Partnership with Fresh Projects and Holiday Treats
Overview
August 11, 2025: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have officially extended their creative partnership with Netflix via their production company, Archewell Productions. They’ve signed a multi-year, first-look deal, which grants Netflix priority access to their upcoming film and television content while allowing them the flexibility to explore other platforms.
What’s in Store:
Season 2 of With Love, Meghan – Meghan’s lifestyle and cooking show returns later this month with new episodes featuring celebrity chefs, artists, and friends.
Holiday Special: With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration – A festive episode premiering this December, filmed in Montecito and promising warmth, holiday recipes, DIY gifts, and family-friendly fun.
Documentary: Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within – A short feature set in Uganda’s Masaka region, highlighting orphaned children who discover healing and joy through dance.
Feature Film in Development: Meet Me at the Lake – An adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling romantic novel, currently in active development.
Expansion of the As Ever Brand – Meghan’s lifestyle brand, launched earlier this year and previously supported by Netflix, will continue to broaden into new product categories.
What’s Driving the Partnership?
The extended deal comes after reports in July suggested their initial $100 million Netflix contract—signed in 2020—would not be renewed after its September expiry. This shift to a first-look arrangement aligns with Netflix’s move away from exclusive multi-project deals.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, praised the couple’s influential storytelling, noting the strong audience response to their previous works like Harry & Meghan and With Love, Meghan, and the rapid sell-out of As Ever products.
Why It Matters
This renewed partnership signals a strategic evolution—from exclusivity to flexibility. While keeping a close, continuing relationship with Netflix, it gives Harry and Meghan the freedom to collaborate elsewhere if a project doesn’t align with the streamer’s priorities.
Simultaneously, the slate of upcoming content—spanning seasonal specials, heartfelt documentaries, and enchanting film adaptations—demonstrates their commitment to storytelling that entertains, inspires, and connects audiences globally.
