Pop-Culture fans of J.R.R. Tolkien have been eagerly waiting for the return journey back to Middle-Earth. Prime Video’s saga will be a weekly TV multi-series. Tolkien’s other books, Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit were released as motion pictures and directed by the acclaimed, award-winning Peter Jackson.

This gorgeous cinematic drama, The Rings Of Power will take us on a journey back to “The Second Age” of the fantasy Middle-Earth. It is the prequel that begins thousands of years prior to the era of “Third Age” which featured Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit.

The spectacular line-up will include former and new characters and stars Robert Aramayo as ‘Elrond’, Markella Kavenagh as ‘Tyra’ and Morfydd Clarke as ‘Galadriel’ and Joseph Mawle as ‘Oren’ as part of an ensemble cast.

The series is led by Showrunners and Executive Producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, Director/Executive Producer, J.A. Bayona, Director/Co-Executive Producer, Wayne Che Yip and Director Charlotte Brändström.

Dedicated fans of the characters – featuring Humans, Elves and Dwarfs will be enthralled into the battle between good versus evil, the rings of power and the powerful kingdoms, which stood in greatness but fell into destruction.

Tolkien’s books begin with visuals of Middle-Earth’s ethereal beauty and peace, like the island kingdom of Númenor. His characters of unlikely heroes, and the most evil of villains set the stage for what will become the legacy of Middle-Earth.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world in multiple languages on Friday, September 2, 2022.
