July 21, 2025: On Monday, July 21, a Bangladesh Air Force F‑7 BGI training jet crashed into the front section of Milestone School & College in Dhaka’s Uttara neighborhood at approximately 1:06 p.m., while classes were in session. The jet hit the school gates and the building housing elementary classrooms and a canteen, causing a massive explosion and fire.
At least 19 people—including students and teachers—were killed, and more than 100 others, many children, were injured. Eight victims remain in critical condition.
