Wrestling executive reflects on Hulk Hogan’s final message—and pitches a two-hour Real American Freestyle series

A Tribute Through Forward Momentum

September 6, 2025: In a heartfelt interview, wrestling legend Eric Bischoff spoke candidly about the unexpected passing of Hulk Hogan. Despite the shock, Bischoff said the response was clear: “What would Hulk want us to do? He wants to keep going.” Guided by that spirit, he and his team proceeded with Real American Freestyle’s debut event, channeling Hogan’s legacy into a live wrestling showcase billed as “Powered by Hogan.” Bischoff believes the show’s success is a tribute Hogan would have been proud of.

From Debut to Weekly Slot

Following the July 30 initial event in Cleveland, Bischoff revealed plans to transform Real American Freestyle into a live, two-hour weekly show. He confirmed discussions are underway with Fox—including their new streaming platform Fox One—and potentially other networks. While he’s open to Saturday night airtime, he noted the crowded landscape, with football and established wrestling nights like Monday’s WWE and Wednesday’s AEW:

“I don’t mind Saturday nights… we gotta stay away from Monday—football nights take the slot.”

Setting the Table for 2026

Bischoff stated he envisions the weekly RAF series launching in early 2026, adding, “I really think there’s a market for it, and it’s a big part of our future.” His confidence stems from strong interest shown by networks and the spirited response to the debut event.

Honoring a Legendary Blueprint

The new series is not just a wrestling program—it’s a continuation of the visionary energy Hogan brought to the sport. Bischoff conveyed how they navigated grief and momentum, balancing respect with action, ensuring that Hogan’s vibrant legacy remains at the heart of Real American Freestyle.
