Attention brides: We’re getting the inside scoop on wedding-ready facial treatments from The FIX!

For brides-to-be, achieving that coveted “bridal glow” isn’t just about flawless makeup—it starts with a thoughtful, targeted skincare routine. As a 2026 bride myself, one of my main priorities has been feeling confident and radiant on the big day, and that includes having skin that truly glows.

To get the inside scoop, we sat down with Maria Cristina, founder of The FIX Facial Bar, to discuss how the brand’s signature treatments can help brides prep their skin for the wedding, whether dealing with breakouts, dullness, or sensitivity.

I recently experienced The FIX Facial, the brand’s signature customizable treatment, which begins with a detailed consultation. The facialist assesses your skin, lifestyle, and goals, and creates a plan designed specifically for you. For me, that meant mapping out my summer wedding timeline to ensure my skin would be in its best shape. The treatment included steam and a double cleanse, extractions, a targeted masque, LED light therapy, and The FIX Method sculpting massage—though the exact protocol varies depending on your skin’s needs.

The result? My complexion felt refreshed, lifted, and luminous.

Now that you know why timing and personalization matter, we dug deeper into bridal skincare strategy.

Check out Maria Cristina’s expert tips for keeping skin radiant—and stress-free—leading up to the big day.

For brides preparing for their wedding, when should they start incorporating treatments like The FIX Facial into their skincare routine?

Getting skin into optimal shape takes time, especially if we are dealing with conditions like acne and breakouts, hyperpigmentation, redness, and rosacea. My general rule of thumb is to start on a series of facials 6 months out from your big day, which gives us time to properly assess the skin and develop a plan which may include corrective treatments that might require some downtime. This also gives you ample time to be on a solid at-home skincare regimen because good things take time, and you need a minimum of 3 months for skincare products to work. 6 months also gives us time to course-correct if the skin isn’t responding as we would like.

What makes a personalized facial approach especially important for bridal skincare versus a standard, one-size-fits-all treatment?

The reality is our skin is very personal and affected by so many internal and external factors, and treating the skin is very nuanced, which requires taking a customized approach to effectively treat the skin without causing irritation or impairing the barrier.

The idea of one-size-fits-all protocol doesn’t belong in true skin therapy, I believe in looking at the skin and the client holistically, taking account of lifestyle, budget, time constraints and individual skin needs to optimize the skin truly.

How does The FIX Facial help achieve that lifted, sculpted, “bridal glow” so many brides (like me!) are looking for?

All our therapists are trained in our signature facial massage technique, The FIX Method, which incorporates lymphatic drainage, muscle and facial work, and facial alignment.

Our technique is unique because it is rooted in science, working with the facial anatomy, but also harnesses the power of the mind-body by using healing touch to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and trigger a deep state of relaxation. This allows the tension in the facial muscles that often cause deep creasing and furrowing to soften fully.

Are there any specific ingredients or treatments (like chemical exfoliation or LED therapy) that you find especially effective for pre-wedding skin prep?

It really depends on the individual’s skin, making personalized skincare a must. Overall, custom exfoliation, facial massage, and microcurrent are modalities I lean heavily on to get the glowiest, most lifted, and sculpted skin.

What are the biggest skincare mistakes brides make in the weeks leading up to their wedding day?

Two big mistakes are trying new treatments or skincare too close to the wedding and potentially getting an adverse reaction, which then does not have time to resolve before the wedding.

The second mistake is being too aggressive and doing treatments with significant downtime too close to the big day. Go hard or go home is not the approach to be taken in skin therapy ever, but especially leading up to a huge event like a wedding.

How should brides balance in-clinic treatments with their at-home routine to maintain results leading up to the big day?

Truthfully, they are equally important and boost each other’s efficacy. What we do in the treatment room will have no meaningful impact if the client doesn’t have a skincare regimen to support the results of the professional treatment. If a client is not on a balanced, barrier-supporting regimen at home, it can greatly limit what we can safely do in the treatment room.

For the final week before the wedding, what should brides focus on—and what should they avoid—to ensure their skin looks its absolute best?

Hydration, hydration, hydration, with a heavy focus on facial massage and microcurrent for maximum glow and minimal risk of irritation. Now is not the time for extractions or aggressive peels.
