According to this trending Reddit thread, users are wondering if the fight is “really” getting canceled following claims that UFC has privated the McGregor vs. Alvarez and McGregor vs. Diaz 2 fight videos posted just a few days ago.
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but a Reddit user claimed the below was circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter in relation to UFC 303.
- “UFC 303 no longer being advertised on PPV
- UFC have privated the Conor McGregor free fight videos posted a few days ago
- Conor McGregor and Dana White have been silent
- Michael Chandler is posting self help quotes on Instagram”
Another user posted another alleged update (below) on the Reddit thread:
“UFC also took the Mcgregor-Chandler pinned post off their Instagram. It’s over guys”
What does this mean exactly?
It is unclear at the moment it is alleged that the fight may be canceled following the cancellation of a pre-fight event at the eleventh hour. This article also claims that ESPN has removed the UFC PPV ad after the canceled press conference causing rumors to swirl.
