Court documents reveal escalating tensions between the co-stars, with allegations of misconduct and control over the film’s production.
Allegations of Coercive Behavior
October 14, 2025: In a recent deposition, Danny Greenberg, Justin Baldoni‘s former agent, described Blake Lively‘s conduct during the production of It Ends With Us as “extortion.” Greenberg clarified that he was referring to Lively’s cumulative difficult behavior, not criminal extortion. He alleged that Lively attempted to gain control over the film, including efforts to exclude Baldoni from the premiere and influence the film’s direction.
Legal Disputes and Counterclaims
The conflict between Baldoni and Lively intensified following a sexual harassment complaint filed by Lively in December 2024. She accused Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on set, including showing explicit content and making offensive remarks. Baldoni denied these allegations and filed a $400 million counterclaim against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and coercion. However, the court dismissed Baldoni’s lawsuit in June 2025.

Upcoming Trial
The legal battle is set to proceed to trial in March 2026, with both parties expected to testify. Discovery closed on October 10, and the next court hearing is scheduled for October 21. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for both Baldoni’s and Lively’s careers and the broader entertainment industry.
