Keri Russell Mickey Mouse Club
On Tuesday’s episode of “Dinner’s On Me”, hosted by actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Russell reminisced about her time spent on the beloved “Mickey Mouse Club.”
“It is weird that I was on that,” Russell said. “The creepiest part of child acting, is that it’s usually like one or two children with a lot of adults. That accelerates the adult-if-acation.”
Russell continued, “For the Mickey Mouse Club, there were 19 of us, and adults were invisible to me. I did the show from 15 to 17, and I wasn’t completely alone.”
Ferguson, who starred in the hit sitcom “Modern Family”, asked Russell if there was a cut off age where Disney couldn’t have you on the show anymore.
“It’s usually girls who looked like they were sexually active. I was probably one of the first. They definitely had said ‘She’s out!’ Meanwhile the boys stayed till they were 19.” Russell said. “Umm by the way, I had sex with that person, so I know they have had sex.”
Russell left “The Mickey Mouse Club” at 17 years old in 1993.
Russell jokingly said, “Pregnant Mouseketeers aren’t on the roster.”
Fellow Mouseketeers included stars Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears.
