Quentin Tarantino’s epic saga returns to the big screen in 70mm and 35mm formats

October 2, 2025: Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is set to receive its first-ever nationwide theatrical release on December 5, 2025. This definitive cut combines both volumes of the saga into a single, uninterrupted film, offering fans a chance to experience the epic as Tarantino originally intended.

A Complete Cinematic Experience

Originally conceived as a single film, Kill Bill was split into two parts due to its extensive runtime. This new release removes the cliffhanger ending of Volume 1 and the recap at the beginning of Volume 2, providing a seamless viewing experience. Additionally, a never-before-seen 7½-minute animated sequence has been added, enhancing the film’s narrative depth.

Screening Formats

The film will be showcased in both 70mm and 35mm formats, with screenings planned across major markets. Tarantino emphasized that the best way to experience Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is in a movie theater, in glorious 70mm or 35mm, to fully appreciate the film’s visual and auditory grandeur.

Limited Previous Screenings

Prior to this release, The Whole Bloody Affair had only been shown in select venues, including a limited screening at Cannes and special events at Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. This nationwide release marks a significant milestone for fans and cinephiles alike.

Release Information

Lionsgate is handling the distribution of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, ensuring that audiences across the country will have the opportunity to witness this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen.
