Couple Parts Ways After Decades Together, Following Public Scrutiny
October 3, 2025: Actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have separated after nearly 28 years of marriage. The couple, who married in 1997 and share two daughters—Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26—are currently living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings underway at this time.
Reflecting on the Past
The separation comes more than six years after the couple’s involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal, where they were accused of paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California under false athletic pretenses. Both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in 2020 and served prison sentences—Loughlin for two months and Giannulli for five.
Moving Forward
Since her release, Loughlin has gradually returned to acting, appearing in shows like Blue Bloods, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and When Hope Calls. She has also spoken publicly about forgiveness and resilience, emphasizing the importance of moving forward through life’s challenges.
Giannulli, 62, has largely stayed out of the public eye since serving his sentence. The couple’s separation marks a significant chapter in their personal lives, following years of public scrutiny and legal challenges.
