The ex-husband of Dina Manzo, RHONJ alum, has been convicted of hiring a mobster to assault her then-boyfriend.

June 5, 2024– As noted here in this related article, Tommy Manzo- Dina’s ex-husband- was recently found guilty by a federal grand jury this week of “conspiracy, falsifying and concealing documents and committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity.”

Tommy allegedly hired a crime family mobster, John Perna, to assault Dave Cantin back in 2015. Dina is still linked to Dave as the two have been married since 2017.

Tommy now faces up to 46 years in prison and a $500,000 fine and his sentencing date has been set for October 15, 2024.

According to this TikTok video posted by user @stephwithdadeets, Tommy was allegedly upset about Dina and Dave’s relationship after she married Dave a year after their divorce.

As a result, Tommy reportedly planned to carry out the alleged attack by hiring the mobster. In exchange, he would reportedly get a free, lavish wedding reception. Perna pleaded guilty in 2020 to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity. Perna was released from jail after serving 3 years, in 2023.

What happened to Dave Cantin?

According to the Page Six article, Dave was “left bruised and bloodied” following an attack by Perna, in which a slapack was used “to physically assault him.” The incident took place in a North Jersey strip mall parking lot.
