July 14th, 2024– Donald Trump, former president of the United States, was speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania when he was struck in the ear by a bullet in an assassination attempt that left one person dead and a couple of others injured. News reports stated that law enforcement claimed the United States Secret Service killed the attempted shooter following the assassination attempt against Trump.
Trump is running against the current president of the US, Joe Biden, to win the 2024 election slated to take place this November 5, 2024.

Immediately following the shooting, social media blew up with conspiracies and rumors surrounding the incident, with some claiming that the shooting was “staged” or “set up.”
People online were shocked to find out that someone could take aim and take multiple shots at a presidential candidate with seemingly tight security. There are also rumors floating around that people saw the alleged shooter and tried to warn security but nothing was done about it, further fueling claims that this was an alleged setup.
There is no concrete evidence to support claims that this was “staged” or a “set up”- social media is running rampant with rumors following the incident in which information is circulating about the shooter, his alleged motive, and what happened at the rally.
What we do know is that this was an assassination attempt against the former president of the United States and that the Secret Service killed the alleged shooter on site following shots fired during Trump’s campaign rally in Butler.

Following the shooting, Trump took to Truth Social to thank the US Secret Service for their “rapid response” extending his condolences to those killed and injured during the shooting. He also detailed how he was shot in the “upper part” of his “right ear.”
He followed up with this post to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers following the incident.
Who shot Donald Trump?
Sources are reporting that a man named Thomas Matthew Crooks was the alleged shooter behind the assassination attempt against Donald Trump at his Pennsylvania rally recently. Crooks, who was 20 years old, was reportedly shot dead at the scene by a Secret Service sniper following shots fired at Trump’s rally.
One person was killed and 2 others were badly injured during the shooting, in which Trump was struck in the ear.

Again, there is no concrete evidence to support claims that this was allegedly a “set up” or “staged” event at the rally- this is a rumor floating around online with no evidence to support it. People on social media are simply sharing their own opinions or insights on the recent events that took place that seemingly rocked the nation this past weekend.
Donald Trump is reportedly in “great spirits” following the shooting and has thanked the Secret Service for their quick response following the incident.

Donald Trump is expected to announce who will be his Republican running mate today on Monday July 15, 2024. So far there are three names that have been floating around as possible running mates to Donald Trump. Trumps possible Vice Presidents include, Ohio Senator J.D Vance, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
