I was lucky enough to be invited to the most recent Red Spade Pass experience for a few days filled with the ultimate VIP treatment. It was an unforgettable trip, from having exclusive access to the Crypto.com Arena to mingling with notable guests and flying private to Vegas. 

Driving in from LAX, the excitement was palpable among the Red Spade Pass giveaway winners. The realization began to sink in that PokerStars and MLSE made this celeb-worthy experience accessible to everyday Raptors fans. “This is more than a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us,” said Tony Madia, whose daughter Kiana won the trip through the Raptors app.

The Red Spade Pass Experience 

After checking in at the JW Marriott, having an all-expenses paid lunch and some time to explore the vibrant city of Los Angeles, we were off to the Clippers vs Raptors game. Watching a Raptors game at the state-of-the-art Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as the Staples Center) was an iconic experience in itself. But what made it that much more special was the exclusivity of watching the game from a VIP Suite. From the plush seating to the impeccable catering, everything about the suite screamed luxury. We had a prime view of the court, with unobstructed sightlines to all the action as we cheered on the Toronto Raptors. It was an unbelievable night, but we were just getting started! 

Come morning, our personal driver took us to the private hangar to get a taste of the high life with a chartered jet to Las Vegas. Outside of the contest winners and their plus one’s, we were joined by notable Raptors Broadcaster Jack Armstong, Netflix star Hallea Jones from the show Locke & Key, and professional Poker player Arlie Shaban. It was a fun-filled flight, and in true Hollywood fashion, as we made our descent into Vegas, we had a fleet of shiny SUV’s waiting for us. 

Upon arrival at the luxurious Resorts World, it was time to learn Poker from American poker commentator Joe Stapleton. Playing a game of poker under these circumstances and the treatment that followed gave us a true taste of that high-roller life. After an exciting game, which Kiana won (walking away with a signed Raptors jersey), we explored the dazzling city of Vegas and then dined at the world-renowned Nobu. To top off the night, we were treated to prime seating at Cirque Du Soleil before flying back to Los Angeles on a chartered plane.

With the final day on the horizon, we started the morning nice and slow, being pampered with massages and facials at the Ritz Carlton spa. Then it was back to the Crypto.com Arena to watch the coveted Raptors vs Lakers game. Once again, we had the pleasure of watching the game from a VIP Suite with top-of-the-line catering. The entire experience was nothing short of the royal treatment, and I felt truly grateful to be a part of it all. The past three days were dreamy, to say the least, and it was amazing to see the winners experience this VIP treatment courtesy of PokerStars.
