Police officers can be seen rushing up the stairs and shooting the shooter in the video, which Nashville Police have released in explicit detail.

On Tuesday, authorities unveiled police body camera footage from a shooting spree at a local Christian elementary school that left three children and three staff members dead.

The suspenseful video showed many officers emptying The Covenant School’s first-floor classrooms and restrooms before heading upstairs, where Audrey Hale, 28, was firing at police officers outside the building.

Late on Monday, police released more than two minutes of surveillance video, and on Tuesday, cops who confronted the shooter released six minutes of body camera footage. Most of them were from Officer Rex Engelbert’s body camera.

Officer Rex Engelbert, a 4-year veteran, shoots several bullets at Hale after the police find him close to a window. This knocks the shooter to the ground. — Michael Collazo, a second cop with nine years of experience, shoots Hale once again.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit organization tracking data on gun violence, the act was the 129th mass shooting in the country in 2023. According to the K-12 School Shooting Database, the assault also represents the 89th gunshot on K—12 school grounds in 2023 – an average of one every day.

Hale entered the facility with three firearms, including two assault-style rifles and a 9MM pistol, as per the reports. Six individuals, including three 9-year-old kids, were shot and killed by Hale.

In a video released by the Nashville Police Department on Monday, Hale can be seen shooting the front glass door with one gun lifted before entering the building.
