As per a related article, singer Chris Young has been cleared of all charges relating to a bar fight in Nashville on Monday, January 22. The 38-year-old country singer was originally arrested for disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer, and resisting arrest, following an alleged fight at the DawgHouse Saloon. After being arrested, Young was released on bonds.

An affidavit of the incident, which described how Young and a few friends reportedly followed Tennessee Alcoholic and Beverage Commission (TABC) agents from the Tin Roof bar, into the DawgHouse Saloon. It was at the latter location where Young allegedly attempted to “struck” an agent’s shoulder. The agents were said to have been attempting to leave the Saloon when the incident happened.

After reportedly striking the agent, Young was alleged to have refused to comply with the agent’s orders. The agent allegedly pushed Young away.

Some of the details in the affidavit, however, reportedly aren’t corroborated by additional evidence.

In a video released by WSMV 4, Nashville, Young and his friends are seen, in what appears to be from a security camera, entering the DawgHouse Saloon, when the TABC agents approach them. After Young appears to extend his left arm toward one, an agent appears to shove Young, causing him to stumble backward, hit a table, and fall.

In another part of the video, Young is seen backing away from the agents with his hands up.

Per the related PEOPLE article, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk released a statement saying, “Regarding the Chris Young incident – After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.”

Young’s attorney, Bill Ramsey, also released a statement saying, “Mr. Young and I are gratified with the DA’s decision clearing him of the charges and any wrong-doing.”
