According to the TikToker, Spotify was allegedly expecting the podcast, hosted by the Duchess of Sussex, to being in more revenue than it did. As a result, the company supposedly had to let go of 200 employees due to the podcast not generating enough revenue. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a large deal with Spotify.
Archetypes was an “unfiltered” podcast featuring Markle as the host. Markle brought on notable guests, such as Paris Hilton, to discuss trending topics on the platform.

Allegedly, the show is on the chopping block, which has shocked some viewers. Owens has been known to have controversial takes on certain subjects and on this topic in particular she states that every episode sounded like Meghan “acting.” Owens also didn’t feel as though Archetypes was conducted in a true podcast format.
