Bradley Cooper Shares Special Super Bowl Moment with Daughter Lea: “A Beautiful Thing”
February 10, 2025: Hollywood star Bradley Cooper experienced an unforgettable night at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans as he watched his beloved Philadelphia Eagles clinch a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. But for the Maestro actor, the most meaningful part of the evening was sharing the moment with his seven-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine.
A Cherished Father-Daughter Tradition
Speaking to Fox Sports: NFL, Cooper expressed his joy at passing down a family tradition, reminiscing about attending games with his own father.
“I’m just one of thousands and thousands that get the opportunity to love this team and live for this team, be a part of Philadelphia,” he said. “I used to come with my dad, and now I get to bring my daughter. It’s just a beautiful thing in life.”
The 50-year-old actor, who shares Lea with ex-partner Irina Shayk, called the Eagles’ victory a “miracle” and emphasized how lucky he felt to witness it.
A Passionate Eagles Fan
Cooper, a lifelong Eagles supporter, was full of admiration for the team and its leadership. He specifically praised team owner Jeffrey Lurie and quarterback Jalen Hurts, calling him “a killer” on the field.
“Ah man, he deserves it. People are always saying this and that. This guy is just a killer, it’s the best,” Cooper enthused.
Before the game, Cooper and eight-year-old Eagles fan Declan LeBaron—who recently went viral in an MDMotivator video—fired up the crowd with an energetic introduction.
“Alright, from the City of Brotherly Love … your 2024 NFC Champions,” the actor shouted before leading a stadium-wide chant of “E-A-G-L-E-S—Eagles!”
Mixed Reactions on the Field
While Cooper and Declan’s introduction received loud cheers, Mad Men star Jon Hamm had a very different experience. Tasked with welcoming the Kansas City Chiefs onto the field, Hamm was met with boos as he introduced the defending Super Bowl champions.
“Make some noise … for your AFC Champion, and two-time defending Super Bowl champion—Kansas City Chiefs!” Hamm announced, only to be drowned out by the excited Eagles crowd.
Fatherhood and Life Lessons
Beyond his love for football, Cooper remains deeply focused on being a present and supportive father to Lea. Reflecting on parenthood in a past interview on Running Wild with Bear Grylls, he spoke about learning from his own parents’ mistakes and striving to be a positive influence in his daughter’s life.
“I mean, you learn from your predecessor’s mistakes, and I’ll make tons that hopefully Lea will learn from,” he admitted. “Being rigorous with myself to grow—to help unburden her with any of my bulls***.”
A Night to Remember
For Cooper, the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory was more than just a win—it was a full-circle moment that reinforced the bond between him and his daughter. From childhood memories with his father to now making new ones with Lea, the Hangover star cherishes the chance to share his passion for football with the next generation.
