Jennifer Lopez announced on Sunday that she and Ben Affleck have married. Lopez shared the good news in her On the JLo newsletter and a photo of herself and her new spouse on their wedding day.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tie the knot in Small Ceremony in Vegas. Bennifer obtained their marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, over the weekend, months after announcing their engagement in April 2022. The couple wed in Small Ceremony in Vegas after dating for 17 years and then splitting.

The actress shared photographs from her Vegas wedding in a post headlined “We Did It.” In one, Lopez, dressed in a veil and an off-the-shoulder gown with lace sleeves, beams and flashes the peace sign as Affleck, suited in a white tuxedo with a black bowtie, kisses her on the cheek. The celebrity couple also has wedding rings on.

“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” the bride wrote.

Lopez went on to say that the ceremony was  “exactly what we wanted,  Last night, we went to Vegas and stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same trip to the world’s wedding capital.” Two men held hands and held each other behind us. In front of us, a young couple that drove three hours from Victorville to mark their daughter’s second birthday — all of us wanted the same thing: for the world to acknowledge us as partners and to express our love to the world via the old and practically universal symbol of marriage.

“We barely made it to the Little White Wedding Chapel before it closed at midnight. They generously stayed open a few more minutes, allowing us to take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, clearly once used by the King himself (although if we wanted Elvis to show up, it cost extra and he was in bed), “Lopez added on.

“So, with the best witnesses you could possibly imagine, a dress from an old movie, and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave each other the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.” There was even Bluetooth for a march down the aisle. But, in the end, it was the best wedding we could have hoped for. One we fantasized about for a long time and finally achieved.

“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is each other and the promise we make to love, care for, understand, be patient, loving, and good to one another.” That was available to us. And much, much more. It was the best night of our lives. Thank you to the Little White Wedding Chapel for allowing me to change in the break room while Ben did so in the men’s room.

“They were correct when they said, ‘all you need is love,'” Jlo remarked. “We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new great family of five amazing children, and a life to look forward to. If you stick around long enough, you might find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 12:30 a.m. in the Tunnel of Love drive-through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend the rest of your life with. Love is a wonderful thing, perhaps the nicest thing, and it is well worth the wait.”

Lopez ended her message with her new married name: “Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
